Disposables: simplicity first
A disposable is ready out of the box and done when it’s done — no maintenance, no decisions after the initial purchase. That makes it a good fit if you want to try a new flavour without any commitment, you’re vaping occasionally rather than constantly, or you just don’t want to think about coils, charging, or e-liquid bottles at all.
The trade-off is cost over time: because everything is single-use, the per-puff cost is usually higher than a pod system if you vape regularly.
Pod systems: built for regular use
A pod system is a reusable device with a rechargeable battery and replaceable pods or cartridges. You’ll spend a bit more upfront, and there’s a small amount of upkeep — charging the device, replacing pods, occasionally cleaning the contacts (see our maintenance guide for that). In exchange, the cost per session tends to be lower if you vape often, and you get more control: many pod systems support a range of pods, so you can switch flavours or strengths without buying a whole new device.
